Born in
Stockton, California in
December of 1971 to a
young couple, my mother
19 and my father 21. My
father was drafted into
the Army at 18 years
during the ongoing
Vietnam war, being a
devout Seventh Day
Adventist he refused to
kill anyone, there fore
becoming a Medic, but
never gave up his dream
to be a Minister of the
Seventh Day Adventist
church.
In January 1972, my
father was released from
the army with honors,
his transfer papers on
his Captain’s desk for
Vietnam. My mother
worked two jobs so my
father could go to
school eventually
getting his Theology
degree to become a
minister of the Seventh
Day Adventist church.
I have visited some of
the most famous and the
most beautiful sights
across this beautiful
country of ours and
many, many others. But
the most memorable place
I have lived, was
Elizabethtown, North
Carolina, where one
could see the Purple
Mountain Majesty of the
Rocky Mountains on the
horizon.
This book is based in
Fresno California
against the devastating
events of 9/11 and the
War on Terrorism. Many
places I wrote about I
have visited or lived.
The Big House for
Bradford Estates is
actually an extension of
a smaller house, 6 bed,
4 bath, 3 car garage.
The basement had been
converted into a
secondary living
quarters, which became
the Guest House where
our hero resides. The
original location was in
Elizabethtown, North
Carolina, I simply added
more rooms, another
level, and placed it in
South East, Fresno where
I lived with my folks
from 1983 until 1991
when I moved out.
I still live in Fresno,
California am married
and have a teenage son.
My husband and I both
drive trucks. One dream
I have always had was to
own my own ranch. In
2005, I sat down and
wrote this book based on
this dream, calling it
Bradford Estates.
Figuring, I may never
own my own ranch, but I
can sure write about it. |
